The Short Version
SmartGLP1 is built privacy-first. Your health data is stored only on your device, encrypted at rest. We do not operate accounts, we do not run analytics on your health data, we cannot see your data, and we never sell data to anyone.
Data We Collect
None. SmartGLP1 does not require an account and does not transmit your health information to our servers. Everything you log — doses, weight, symptoms, nutrition, photos, measurements, glucose readings, costs, coach conversations — is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database (256-bit AES via SQLCipher, with the key held in your device's secure keychain).
Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you choose to connect Apple Health, SmartGLP1 reads only the data types you approve (such as weight, blood glucose, steps, workouts, and active energy) and uses them solely to display your information inside the app. HealthKit data is never transmitted off your device by SmartGLP1 and is never used for advertising, in accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
Backups
Optional encrypted backups are created on your device and protected with a passphrase that only you know, using AES-256-GCM encryption. You choose where the backup file goes (for example iCloud Drive or the Files app). We cannot read or recover your backups — if you lose your passphrase, the backup cannot be decrypted.
AI Features
The AI educational coach and photo analysis operate on your device. Coach conversations are stored in the same encrypted local database as the rest of your data. These features provide educational information only and are not medical advice.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment card details. Apple's privacy policy governs the purchase transaction.
Notifications
Dose, weigh-in, hydration, and refill reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data leaves your device.
Website
This website does not use tracking cookies. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you provide solely to notify you about SmartGLP1 availability, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Data Deletion
You can permanently erase all app data at any time from Settings → Delete All Data, which drops the encrypted database and can also destroy the encryption key. Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data.
Children
SmartGLP1 is not intended for use by children under 17. GLP-1 medications should always be managed with a healthcare provider.

Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
